The Birkenhead War Memorial Park has several entrances to its newly refurbished loop track. The track includes boardwalks and bridges while providing spectacular views of old growth kauri and other large native trees.

You can enter at the end of Mahara Ave (the park’s main entrance), park your vehicle and proceed down past the Pump Track to the newly finished smooth pathway. From here you can either turn left onto the track to enter the bush which will take you through to Park Hill Road and back around the loop track, or you can head right towards Recreation Drive down the smooth pathway and enter the bush to do the loop track in reverse.

There are multiple other facilities in the park, including the Pump Track, Rope Climbing, Swimming Pool and Skateboard Park.
