Mentoring
KYDT see mentoring as a fundamental aspect of positive youth development. Workers at KYDT spend time developing strong and trusting relationships with young people, based on respect and positive regard. The individualised nature of these interventions nurtures a mutually enhancing relationship that can provide stability, consistency and a positive role model in the lives of young people who may be experiencing disadvantage in their lives.
KYDT Mission
KYDT believes that all young people are to be nurtured in a safe and healthy environment that they are valued and empowered to achieve their full potential in education and employment and to be citizens fully participating in their communities, making their communities safer
