Kaipātiki Youth
Kaipātiki Youth Council
Providing opportunities for youth to become involved within the community and have a voice in local decision making processes. This is through being part of the consultation process with the Kaipātiki Local Board and other local and central government agencies.
The Kaipātiki Youth Council allows youth to engage with each other, elected officials and local politicians at a decision-making level.
The Kaipātiki Youth Council works together to provide events or projects for youth, led by youth.
Children’s and Student Panels
These panels provide an opportunity for youth to have a voice in specific topics each school term. These panels work in collaboration with agencies and/or our Local Board and are held in our designated schools each term through the year.
A snapshot of the issues covered include: Pest Free Kaipatiki, Youth Health, Public Transport, Safety in the Community, Watersafe and A Connected Kaipatiki.
